Modern Exteriors is an exterior remodeling company founded in 1973 by Glenn Atkinson, a third-generation contractor who grew up in the industry. With deep roots in the Springfield, MO, area, Glenn’s goal was to provide local homeowners with the exterior renovation products and services they needed to beautify, protect, and improve their residences. There were other contractors in the region, of course, but all too often they were more interested in expanding their business and boosting their bottom lines than doing what was best for their customers. Glenn’s strategy wasn’t to become the largest exterior remodeling company in the state – it was to become the best. A lofty ambition, no doubt about it, but as his grandfather used to say, a superior home improvement company should be “where quality and price become friends.” And that has been Glenn’s guiding principal from day one.

We converted our screened porch into a sunroom. William and his crew did a phenomenal job, way beyond our expectations. We never used the screened porch as it was either too hot in summer or too cold in winter, but now we can use the sunroom year round. Highly recommend Modern Exteriors of Springfield

We contracted with Modern Exteriors to replace 4 sliding glass doors and repair our deck. John Cook was very helpful and professional in helping us make decisions. Danny Whittemore installed our doors and we would like to commend him for the great job he did installing them, keeping us informed when project would be completed, completed in a timely period, was very careful to eliminate as much dust as possible. GREAT JOB. Our deck is almost complete and we could not be happier.
