Thank you for visiting Made in the Shade Plano! Kristie’s background is in interior design. She started decorating model homes & selecting materials for spec homes for builders here in the DFW metroplex & Austin. For the past 10 years, she has worked as a designer for one of the largest remodeling companies in the DFW area. Todd’s background is in sales for 30 + years, as well as a successful business owner. They came across Made in the Shade Franchise in 2020 & thought it fit both of their backgrounds perfectly. Kristie loves to make spaces beautiful & feels like window treatments are what completes a space! Todd loves building a relationship with the customer & thrives on great customer service! With both of their background’s they promise to give you a great experience & make your space beautiful! There is a reason why Made in the Shade has a perfect rating. Kristie and Todd were excellent to deal with and they offer a high quality product at a reasonable cost. I purchased the Starwood shutters and I couldn't be happier. The installer, Eddie, along with his assistant, did a great job removing my junkie blinds, and replacing them with these well made shutters. They're also made locally which is a plus. Highly recommended without a doubt!

We are very with our shade purchase from Made in the Shade Plano. Our first consultation was quick to arrange and since I already pretty much knew what I wanted, Kristie was able to make a couple of suggestions and we were ready to go. Shipping did not take long and our shade was installed quickly. I’m very pleased with the results, it’s exactly what I wanted for our sliding glass door.

Wow! What a quick and easy experience. We used Made in the Shade (Kristie and Todd) for our business office. We were moving to a new construction, and window shades were just one of the many tasks I was juggling as we neared completion and our move date. Kristie walked me through the options gave recommendations and made the decision process so easy. Production was fast and install was seamless. We are already using them again for shutters. So happy with the experience.
