Thank you for visiting Made in the Shade Heartland! Pat and Cheryl are Florida natives and have lived in the Sunshine State their whole lives. Pat has been in agriculture for most of his life, most recently in sales and customer service. He has always enjoyed home improvement projects and is a perfectionist when it comes to the finished product. Cheryl owns a real estate brokerage in Lake Placid and has always loved decorating and design. We have 2 Australian Labradoodles (Hattie & Gus). We enjoy boating, home improvement projects, and spending time with our family. Our goal is to provide an outstanding customer experience in a relaxed atmosphere. We believe communication is key to any business relationship. We are proud to serve you and provide exceptional service for your next window treatment project.

Loving our plantation shutters and remote blinds. Made in the Shade - Heartland did a great job. Cheryl spent time helping set up the remote for the blinds, making sure it was working before they left. They worked out a way to install our plantation shutters for our door that was creative...and they look great. Exactly what we wanted. Attention was paid to every little detail, including the caulking to make everything look seamless and classy. Knowing they back up thier work and we can call if needed is a bonus. Definitely recommend them.

Wow, Cheryl and Pat took a drabby looking set of drapes to a motorized stylish textured and beautiful window shade. Everything was seamless from the in-home consultation to the installation. The only issue, now I have to upgrade the flooring in that room. The new shades are so luscious, so well done that the carpet I have now has been exposed as "Meh". Thank You to Pat and Cheryl for doing exactly what you said you would and providing such an outstanding experience with Made in the Shade!
